There’s a lot of anticipation surround this year’s X Factor. Two new judges, Simon Cowell’s got a beard and Cheryl… Well, she’s back as well.

The debut episode of this year’s contest was a mixed affair, with Olly Murs’s mate left crying while another hopeful, who had previously blasted the show and Cheryl, got through.

And if anyone thought that the show might have matured in the past 12 months, they would have been sorely disappointed by the first contestant to face the packed Wembley Arena.

Susan Pryce, 60, took to the stage for an audacious performance of 2Unlimited’s No Limit.

The judges starred up at the stage, mouths agape, as the grandmother enthusiastically shook her behind, much to everyone’s amazement. The crowd seemed to love it.

Cheryl said she’s “twerked up a storm", while Ora said she was the “highlight of the past five years of my entire life.”

Some viewers were less impressed, with many wondering how the Twerker managed to get through while Jon Goodey was eliminated.

Perhaps they thought they were judging Britain’s Got Talent and not what is supposed to be a singing competition. Ah well, guess we’ll be seeing ‘techno Susan’ in a few weeks’ time.
