The West Wing actor Joshua Malina trolls Donald Trump voters on Twitter
'If you're one of the stupid cocks who voted for this stupid cock, do you not feel like a stupid cock?'
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. There are few people as controversial as Donald Trump. People either despise the President — fearing nuclear war and climate change beyond repair — or adore him, posting Pepe faces online.
Joshua Malina, who rose acclaim through The West Wing, playing Will Bailey on the political drama, has been an outspoken opponent of Trump’s.
After news broke that Trump threatened North Korea with “fire and fury like the world has never seen” over nuclear activity, the actor took to Twitter.
“If you're one of the stupid cocks who voted for this stupid cock, do you not feel like a stupid cock?” he wrote.
The comments were soon picked up by the far-right press, including Breitbart, leading ti hundreds of Trump supporters using social media to attack the actor.
However, Malina's dry wit shone through, responding to each horrendous attack with humourous comments. See a handful of the brilliant exchanges below.
The lesson? Don't mess with Malina, especially if your grammar is bad. The actor currently stars in US political thriller Scandal, playing the character David Rosen.
