From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Considering the cast and crew of The Walking Dead have been relocating to its shooting location of Georgia for up to seven years now, it would make sense that they view the area as a second home.
Norman Reedus - who plays fan favourite Daryl Dixon - has especially let the small town of Senoia into his heart; together with the show's recurring director and executive producer Greg Nicotero, the actor is to open a restaurant this summer.
Named Nic & Norman's (it's got a ring to it), the eaterie is not going to be filled with Walking Dead references but we're sure it will remain high on visiting fans.
Reedus shared the news via his Instagram page where he showcased the restaurant's logo which contains both a paintbrush and an arrow - a nice touch considering Nicotero also earns his stripes as special makeup effects supervisor on the zombie series while, within the show, Reedus' character's weapon of choice is a crossbow.
This isn't the first time Reedus has decided to invest in a property while working on the show having previously bought a house in Senoia. More than ever now, we really hope he's not Negan's victim...
The restaurant is scheduled to be open by mid-July. The Walking Dead season seven returns to FOX this October.
