Just as ITV’s Splash began to feel like a distant memory, the BBC has revealed the line-up to its new celebrity gymnastics show Tumble.

The sport contest follows a similar format to its ITV equivalent, with international gymnasts drafted in to teach the 10 celebrities how to master the beam and vault.

Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding will join fitness legend Mr Motivator and Steps singer Ian “H” Watkins in a bid to win over the public with their gymnastic skills.

World boxing champion Carl Froch will also be donning a leotard to see if his sporting prowess in the ring can be matched on the vault horse.

EastEnders actor John Partridge, Loose Women host Andrea McLean, TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, Wolfblood actor Bobby Lockwood, Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and Dynasty icon Emma Samms complete the Tumble line-up.

In a similar format to Strictly Come Dancing, the celebrity contestants will be teamed with a professional gymnast each week to teach them a new routine.

The One Show host Alex Jones will present each show, while Olympic gymnasts Nadia Comaneci and Louis Smith will serve as one of four judges giving their verdicts on the celebrities’ performances.

Sports broadcaster and former gymnast Craig Heap and aerial performer Sebastien Stella complete the judging panel.

Tumble is due to air this summer with a first broadcasting date due to be confirmed soon.
