From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The revival sees Walters reprise his role as drug dealer Dushane alongside Kane “Kano” Robinson as his “spiritual brother” Sully. The two can be seen alongside Jasmine Jobson as Jaq in the video above.
In the new series, Dushane returns from exile to his London home to take back his throne in the capital’s drug market and joins forces with Sully, who is returning to the same streets after leaving prison.
A ruthless young gang leader named Jamie (newcomer Micheal Ward), however, is waiting for them, and there’s no space in his world for Dushane and Sully.
Rappers Dave and Little Simz join the cast of the reboot as Modie and Shelley, respectively.
Top Boy’s new season is executive produced by Drake and his business partner Adel “Future” Nur, along with Maverick Carter and Jamal Henderson for SpringHill Entertainment.
The original Top Boy series ran for two four-episode seasons on Channel 4 in 2011 and 2013. It was then announced in late 2017 that Drake and Netflix were collaborating on a reboot.
Top Boy season three will debut on Netflix in Autumn 2019.
