From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The trailer for The Walking Dead season seven's twelfth episode has been released hinting at what looks to be a date gone wrong for couple Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira).
The episode sees the two hoping to spend some time together on the road and coming across an abandoned fairground.
Deciding to check it out, it's not long until disaster strikes and the undead place the duo in mortal peril.
If you're concerned these are the only characters the episode - titled 'Say Yes' - will hone in on, fret not: Rosita (Christian Serratos) will also appear growing even more frustrated by the group's inability to strike immediately against Negan and the Saviours.
The most recent episode of The Walking Dead saw the return of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's big bad and showed what happened when he returned back at the sanctuary with Eugene (Josh McDermitt) in tow as his prisoner. It airs in the UK tonight at 9pm on FOX.
