From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

It's been revealed that, after being entirely absent from the ninth season so far, Austin Amelio will return as Dwight in the sibling series. The news was announced by Comicbook.com.
Amelio joins Lennie James who jumped to the spin-off series having appeared on The Walking Dead as a regular cast member from its sixth season. His character, Morgan Jones, is now the lead.
Dwight was last seen in The Walking Dead's season eight finale, having been exiled from the main group by Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).
Amelio will join James and original Fear the Walking Dead cast member's Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo and Danay Garcia for the fifth season which is expected to begin in April.
Following The Walking Dead's five-year time jump, Fear the Walking Dead is now set many years before the main AMC show.
Speaking about potential crossovers, franchise overseer Scott Gimple said: “I wouldn’t expect it all the time. Things could happen. You never know who might pop up on Fear the Walking Dead. That includes The Walking Dead and potentially people in the past from Fear the Walking Dead.”
The ninth season of The Walking Dead saw the departure of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) who will return for a trilogy of films set to air on AMC over the next few years.
