The Voice UK: Paloma Faith seemingly confirms she is quitting
The star hinted at her departure in a deeply cryptic Instagram post, ahead of the show's finale on Saturday
It looks as if Paloma Faith is done with BBC One's floundering singing competition The Voice.
The star took to her Instagram page for a rather cryptic message on the subject. "Last night I went down with the ship power dressing in possibly my last foray into reality tv shows. I may not be built for them but I am definitely built for getting lost in music. Caught in a trap. No turning back," she wrote.
The sentiment isn't entirely surprising; The Telegraph reports she has already spoken out about the level of online abuse she's received after becoming a judge on the show. "I'm quite fragile about it," she stated. "I have moments when I don't want to get out of bed because I don't want to go back."
Her spokesperson, however, told The Metro that the star won't be leaving the show anytime soon; which presumably means she'll return when the series moves to ITV1, following a massive ratings decline of 3.4M.
Both of the remaining acts Faith was mentoring on the show, Jordan Gray and Heather Cameron-Hayes, were eliminated on the 2 April show.
The finale of The Voice airs on BBC One 9 April, at 7.30PM.
