The Undertaker Tombstoned a turkey on The Tonight Show for no reason
Yes, this is a thing that actually happened.
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Theer's a palpable thirst for viral moments on the US chat shows lately, and in order to meet his quota, Jimmy Fallon has started just taking suggestions from viewers on The Tonight Show.
"You should have The Undertaker from WWE come out and Tombstone a guy in a turkey outfit on your show," one, which the host pulled from a box, read.
He immediately dismissed it, questioning how the hell he'd even get hold of the wrestler, only for the Deadman's infamous bell to toll.
Wonderfully surreal though The Undertaker Tombstoning an actual turkey would have been, he instead performed his finishing move on a man in a turkey suit (believed to be former WWE Monday Night RAW General Manager Brad Maddox).
Fallon extended a hand to Taker, who looked on fine form, but he merely did that stern face he does and exited to lightning bolts and funeral march music.
Next week, The Rock Rock Bottom's a ham on Kimmel (I hope)!
