One of The Big Bang Theory‘s lead stars has never watched the show despite starring in 203 episodes.

The popular sitcom, which drew to a close with its 12th season in 2019, starred Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nayyar.

But, it’s now emerged that Mayim Bialik, who played Amy Farrah Fowler from the show’s third season onwards, has never watched a single episode.

“I’ve never seen most of the episodes,” she told Metro, adding: “I don’t watch myself on television. I’ve never sat and watched an episode of our show, ever.”

She said she saw “snippets” throughout her time working on the CBS comedy series, but that was all.

The Big Bang Theory was one of the most watched shows during its time on the air, and Bialik and her co-stars were among some of the highest-paid stars on television.

She described filming the finale as “emotional”, stating: “I’ve never had a job as good as The Big Bang Theory and I would have done it for as long as people wanted me to do it.”

Last year, Kaley Cuoco revealed that she auditioned to play a very different role to Penny, the one she ended up getting.

In a special featurette released by CBS, the actor said she had tried out for the sitcom’s original unaired pilot, but failed to land the role of a character named Katie.
