Strictly Come Dancing viewers have shared their frustration after Jamie Laing was saved over Ranvir Singh in the semi-final.

Sunday (13 December) night’s results show saw Made in Chelsea star Laing go head-to-head against Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh in the dance-off, with both contestants performing one routine from their two semi-final performances.

Despite it being Laing’s fourth time in the dance-off and Singh’s dance scoring higher on the leaderboard, both Craig Revel Horwood and head judge Shirley Ballas voted to save Laing, sending him through to next Saturday’s grand finale.

The news frustrated Strictly fans, many of whom argued that Singh was the better dancer and that a contestant who had been in the bottom two four times should not be in the final.

“Ranvir... never once been in the dance-off, and Shirley boots her off,” one fan commented, adding: “I think Shirley was wrong.”

“I cannot for the life of me believe that Shirley saved Jamie over Ranvir. F*** THIS SHOW,” one viewer tweeted, while another social media post read: “I can’t believe that Ranvir didn’t make it to the final. What a load of b******s.”

“That was so obvious! Shirley was always going to save Jamie even though Ranvir never in the dance off before,” one viewer commented.

Another echoed this point, writing: “Trying to wrap my head around the fact that this was Ranvir’s first time in the dance off and she has consistently danced better than Jamie who has been in the dance off 4 times...yet Jamie gets saved? F*** off Shirley man.”

However, some viewers pointed out that while Singh had excelled in the ballroom dances, she had struggled more with Latin, where Laing had scored more consistently across both.
