Strictly Come Dancing 2015 week 5: Watch Bruno Tonioli swear on live TV after Jay McGuiness's pasodoble

The BBC has been forced to apologise after Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli swore during week five’s live broadcast.

After Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani’s paso doble to "It’s My Life" he exclaimed it was the “bull’s b******s”.

Presenter Tess Daley quickly apologised for his language, while the BBC also tweeted out a formal apology.

The moment has been removed from the iPlayer edition of the show, but fan-filmed footage has emerged online, watch below.

While some viewers were unhappy with the outburst, others were unfussed, commenting that it was done in good humour and meant as a compliment on the pair.

However, Bruno came under fire for his comments about Carol Kirkwood’s performance, saying how controlling her arms was “not rocket science”. Craig Revel-Horwood, a notoriously harsh judge on the show, told him the comments were “nasty”.

The Italian judge only got worse, describing BBC Broadcaster Jeremy Vine as having “a zombified grin” while his waltz was “a bit lifeless”.

The results show will air 25 October at 7.15pm on BBC One.
