Strictly Come Dancing’s eighth week brought with it some spectacular dances from Jay McGuiness, Helen George and Peter Andre.

None, however, were as dazzling as Georgia May Foote’s Charleston. Dancing with partner Giovanni Pernice in Blackpool, the pair astonished with their Chicago-themed routine to All That Jazz.

After a fun performance, with very few slip-ups and some wonderful work with a hat, the judges awarded an almost perfect score of 39, the highest of the season so far. Watch the performance below.

"That was tight, clean, brilliant,” said judge Darcy, gushing over the pair. “It took my breath away.”

The three other judges were just as complimentary, with Len saying "You put the go in Chicago,” and Bruno saying he “was completely razzle-dazzled” by the routine.

All three awarded the pair a top score of 10, while Craig gave a 9, praising the dance, adding: "Thee letters: L U V”.

Speaking after the judges scores, the Coronation Street actress revealed that one of the reasons she joined the competition was to dance the Charleston, and that Chicago was one of her favourite films.

Two performers will leave the competition on Sunday night, with Jeremy Vine and Jamelia widely tipped to be leaving after scoring lowest of the bunch Saturday night. Watch the results show tonight, 7.20pm on BBC1.
