At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Your support makes all the difference. The new season of Netflix show Stranger Things has arrived and its business as usual for the residents of Hawkins, Indiana.
After a few seasons of abduction and possession, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) spends the first half of the latest run with a far more human issue on his hands – all his friends have coupled up and all he wants to do is get back to the good old days of cycling around and playing D&D (Dungeons and Dragons, to you and I).
One scene from the Netflix show's third episode, titled "The Case of the Missing Lifeguard", though, hints at the character's sexuality.
The scene in question sees Will calling time on an attempt to play his favourite board game with his pals because they won't stop talking about their girlfriends (well, in Mike's case, ex-girlfriend).
He runs out of the room, angry that the boys are too interested in "swap[ping] spit" with these girls than spending time on their friendship.
Mike, who follows him out, snaps: "It's not my fault you don't like girls."
Now, Mike could just mean that Will isn't yet at the stage of fancying girls, but it could also be the Duffer brothers' way of hinting that Will is gay – although the moment is never referenced again.
Maybe it's a storyline that'll be addressed in the fourth season, which the kids recently revealed they hoped would be the show's swansong.
Stranger Things season 3 is available to stream on Netflix now.
