From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Stranger Things actor Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy on the show, has teased the series’ third season and it sounds like terrifying things have happened in Hawkins.

“It does feel bigger, just filming it,” she told MTV News while at the Sundance Film Festival.

“I haven’t seen any of it, but it does feel bigger, darker, scarier. It felt like they noticeably bumped it up to a different level this season.

“So I’m excited to see it, too. I don’t know how they do it, [creators] the [Duffer] brothers, but yeah, I’m excited.”

Unable to give much more information, Dyer confirmed that the season will be set in the Summer and in the 80s.

Details regarding the third season remain relatively scarce, with Netflix keeping much information back.

The main cast of returning characters includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, while new actors include Maya Thurman-Hawk, Jake Busey and Cary Elwes.
