Your support makes all the difference.Another new Star Wars streaming series is currently in the works, according to the US magazine Variety.
The series, which will debut on Disney+, will reportedly be helmed by Leslye Headland, who is best known for co-creating the Netflix series Russian Doll.
Variety‘s report states that the show will be ”a female-centric series that takes place in a different part of the “Star Wars” timeline than other projects”, and that Headland is attached to write and serve as showrunner.
Disney+ already have several Star Wars projects in the works, including a series based around the adventures of Obi Wan Kenobi, which will star Ewan McGregor.
The streaming service is simultaneously developing a series based on Diego Luna’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character Cassian Andor. Neither project has a confirmed release date.
There’s also a second season of The Mandalorian in the works, which will see Pedro Pascal reprise the role of Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter who discovers a young child of Yoda’s species.
The Mandalorian debuted on Disney+ last year, recieving strong reviews for its fresh take on George Lucas’s beloved sci-fi universe.
