Saturday Night Live imagines Sex and the City revival theme sung by Kim Cattrall
Star who plays Samantha is not appearing in the reboot
The latest episode of Saturday Night Live included a sketch that envisioned Kim Cattrall singing the theme tune of the forthcoming Sex and the City reboot.
Cattrall, who played high-powered, sex-loving PR woman Samantha Jones in the series, will not be starring in the reboot – but SNL found a way to include her.
In a sketch that mocked the theme song to The Undoing, which was performed by the show's lead Nicole Kidman, SNL had its stars imagine different opening credits tunes for a CD compilation titled Now That’s What I Call Theme Songs.
Chloe Fineman dressed up as Samantha and sang: “Sex and the City without Samantha, doesn’t that sound fun?! It’s Sex and the City without the sex, hope you enjoy the city.”
Cecily Strong also parodied the Bridgerton theme song by imagining that it was sung by Julie Andrews, the narrator of the hit Netflix period drama.

“Sex, lots of colour-blind sex,” Strong as Andrews crooned. “Sex, we all put on costumes for sex. Why do the opening credits look like a screensaver from the Nineties?”
John Krasinski made his hosting debut on the latest episode of the show, and fielded incessant references to The Office from his fellow comedians during his opening monologue.
