Alec Baldwin reappears with impression of Donald Trump on SNL

An 11-year-old video in which Donald Trump makes distasteful comments about grabbing women “by the p***y” leaked online, outraging the majority of the world while offering comedians golden material to work on.

Unsurprisingly, Saturday Night Live were quick to respond to the news, their latest cast member - Alec Baldwin - appearing as Trump on the show, mimicking his videoed apology and Mike Pence’s attempt to distance himself from the comments.

The 10-minute clip begins with an ‘encore presentation’ of the vice presidential debate between Tim Kaine (played by Mikey Day) and Mike Pence (Beck Bennett). Watch below.

For those who enjoy Baldwin’s spot-on impression, he is reportedly remaining with SNL for the entire season, replacing Taran Killam as the show’s Trump impersonator.

The episode featured Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda as host and saw Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon return to the show as ‘sought-after Philly voters’.

Saturday Night Live is currently in currently in its 42 season, the first episode of which featured Margot Robbie as host.
