Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are set to star in their first TV series together since Spaced aired 18 years ago.

Truth Seekers is an Amazon Prime comedy-horror series about paranormal investigators which will star Frost as Gus, one half of a ghost-hunting duo who join forces to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the UK.

Pegg, meanwhile, will play a mysterious character named Dave, about whom little is currently known.

Frost and Pegg are also co-writing the series with Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz.

According to a report in Variety, the show will see the pair “stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel”.

Pegg and Frost are known for their on-screen collaborations in Spaced as well as movies including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.

Production on the eight-part series starts in September.
