From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Truth Seekers is an Amazon Prime comedy-horror series about paranormal investigators which will star Frost as Gus, one half of a ghost-hunting duo who join forces to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the UK.
Pegg, meanwhile, will play a mysterious character named Dave, about whom little is currently known.
Frost and Pegg are also co-writing the series with Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz.
According to a report in Variety, the show will see the pair “stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel”.
Pegg and Frost are known for their on-screen collaborations in Spaced as well as movies including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.
Production on the eight-part series starts in September.
