Last week, Sacha Baron Cohen posted a mysterious video of Donald Trump on Twitter, featuring the current President speaking harshly about the actor.

Cohen has since taken to social media once more to further tease what is believed to be an upcoming series for the American network Showtime.

The new video features former Vice President Dick Cheney signing a waterboard kit (Cheney supports the use of waterboarding as an "enhanced interrogation method"), apparently handed over by a new Cohen alter-ego.

There’s also some tantalising text that reads: “Imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover secretly filming a new show for a year...” Watch below.

Exact details about the show remain unknown, although reports have suggested the format will be reminiscent of Cohen’s Da Ali G Show, where the comic interviewed various celebrities – including Trump – as the character Ali G.

According to Deadline, posters around New York have been teasing the super-secret show, which will apparently be released on the 15 July. One online video from Showtime says: “We’d like to tell you about a new comedy that’s coming, but we can’t. The creators won’t let us show you a scene, the lawyers won’t let us tell you the name of the star, and we can’t even reveal the show’s title or we’d be breaking our non disclosure agreement.”

With Trump and Cheney already featured in promotions and as the tag-line “Who is America?” featuring on the NYC posters, the new series looks set to focus primarily on the American government and is set to make for essential viewing.
