Rick and Morty has given the world a small Thanksgiving treat: a touching two-minute clip of everyone’s favourite crassly named side-kick, Mr. Poopybutthole.

We start with the final moments of season three, the Smith family sitting around a table, laughing, while Rick watches on.

As the credits roll, we zoom out to see Mr. Poopybutthole nodding along to the music before turning off the television and getting out a scrapbook with the words 'The Poop in My Pants' on the front.

The character then flicks through the pages, revealing how life has progressed, including getting married, going on holiday to get detoxed, and moving into a new flat.

Midway through, things get sad as their new cat dies. However, things perk up once more as the family has a child, announce said child Beyoncé-style, and seemingly live happily ever after.

And all set to some heartwarming music, riffing slightly from that devastating scrap-book montage in Pixar’s UP. Watch below.

Last time we saw Mr. Poopybutthole, the non-parasite joked about how we’re going to have to wait a "really long time” for the next season, even saying he might have Grandkids by then. Let’s hope the wait's not that long. Rick and Morty is currently streaming on Netflix.
