Phoebe Waller-Bridge thanks Jennifer Lopez for inspiring 'Hot Priest' character

Phoebe Waller-Bridge accidentally swore during an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

The Emmy Award-winning Fleabag star used the swear word “b******t” during a discussion of the importance of female friendships.

“I think friendships are the greatest romances of our lives,” Waller-Bridge told radio host Jenni Murray. “A [friend] and I would always joke that our boyfriends were our mistresses to our marriage and our love story. Which doesn’t go down so well with the boyfriends, I’ve got to say.”

She continued: “I think female friendships have such depth. We learn to talk to each other from such an early time in our lives and we can skip the b******t.

“I don’t know if I can say b******t”.

Presenter Jenni Murray responded: “You just did”.

Waller-Bridge laughed, trying to gain composure.

During the interview, she also discussed Andrew Scott’s Hot Priest, coping with fame and working on the set of the new James Bond film, No Time to Die.

Ana de Armas recently said her mystery Bond character was a last-minute addition to the film who was entirely written by Waller-Bridge.

No Time to Die will be released in UK cinemas on 3 April.
