Production assistant Pedro Jimenez was struck by an SUV early on Monday morning in Brooklyn, while setting up parking cones for a shoot in the area, Deadline reported.
Power, which counts 50 Cent among its executive producers, debuted on Starz in 2014.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our Power family,” a Starz spokesperson told Deadline.
“Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez’ family as we work to fully understand what has happened.”
Jimenez had worked on the show since its first day of production.
50 Cent has paid tribute to the production assistant on Instagram.
"I just learned we lost Pedro Jimenez, a member of the Power production team early this morning," the rapper wrote.
"My prayers and condolences are with the entire Jimenez family."
Power, created by Courtney A Kemp, has temporarily halted production as a sign of respect for Jimenez's relatives.
The show was renewed for a sixth season in March this year.
