Peaky Blinders Season 3 Teaser Trailer

Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

It's finally happening! The wheels are in motion on promo for Peaky Blinders season 3, which premieres on BBC Two in May.

As is the way these days, the first teaser trailer is unfortunately only 15 seconds long, but you can expect a full-length one very shortly.

There's not much to glean here, the teaser showing a battered and bruised Tommy Shelby (as ever), saying: "The things I do, I do for my family."

The official release date has now been announced

Yesterday, we got a new Shelby family portrait, along with confirmation from the BBC that the first episode will air in May (though they weren't more specific).

Back in February meanwhile, we brought you the first picture of Paddy Considine, who has joined the show as a nefarious priest.

The synopsis for the new season is as follows:

‘Season 3 will see Tommy pulled into the glamorous and dangerous world of international intrigue in 1920s Britain, putting his entire organization and family at risk, and forcing him to question everything about his own ambitions and desires.’

Get excited, cast member Finn Cole has promised that the new episodes are "good as f*ck".
