Ozzy Osbourne has expressed support for his wife Sharon Osbourne following her exit from The Talk.

The singer shared a photo of himself with his spouse on his Instagram account. The image shows him cupping his right ear with his hand, as if trying to hear something.

“I can’t f****** hear you!” he wrote in the caption next to the hashtag #TeamSharon, making his message clear.

CBS, which airs the talk show, announced in a statement last week that “Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave The Talk”.

The move came after an on-air discussion between Osbourne and her co-host Sheryl Underwood, in which they discussed racism.

“The events of the 10 March broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home,” CBS said in its statement, published by The Hollywood Reporter.

“As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behaviour toward her co-hosts during the 10 March episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.”

After the episode aired, Osbourne apologised in a statement released on social media, saying in part: “To anyone of colour that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry.

“I panicked, felt blindsided, and allowed my fear and horror of being accused of being racist take over.”
