The official Narcos account announced that filming has officially begun, revealing the first photo. In it, Pedro Pascal’s DEA Agent Javier Pena making an address, presumably about the death of Pablo Escobar.
Producers José Padilha (Elite Squad, RoboCop) and Eric Newman (Children of Men) are staying with the series, s hit the streaming service next year (2017). A fourth season of the series has also been commissioned.
Before the release of season two, the duo spoke candidly about wanting to continue working on the series. “We’ll stop when the drug trade stops,” Padilha told one publication, Newman adding: “We’ll stop when you stop. That’s our pact with America.”
Boyd Holbrook recently signed on to film Shane Black’s The Predator; whether the actor will remain with Narcos throughout seasons three and four remains unclear.
Recently, numerous Netflix exclusives have reached the streaming service, including Marvel’s Luke Cage and the Amanda Know documentary.
