From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

One of Netflix's most popular original offerings is Narcos, the drama series centred on drug kingpin Pablo Escoabar that's now considered a worthy successor to Breaking Bad.

With one season already available to view, a second is on the way - and The Independent can exclusively bring you the very first trailer.

Judging by the two-minute clip, played to the backdrop of Styx song "Renegade," it seems these new run of episodes will feature just as much gunfire, double crossing and narration as before.

Netflix recently announced that ten new episodes will be added to the streaming service this September.

Wagner Moura will reprise his role of Escobar while Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) will both return as DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña.

The series chronicles the gripping real-life tales of infamous drug kingpins from the late Eighties. With season one tracking a large chunk of Escobar's story, there's no telling how much ground the second will cover.

Netflix's most recent original series, supernatural drama Stranger Things starring Winona Ryder, is currently taking the internet by storm; here's why we think you should binge it immediately.

All 10 episodes of Narcos will launch Friday 2 September exclusively on Netflix.
