From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Rami Malek returns as Elliot Alderson - perhaps the most unreliable narrator television has ever seen (think Fight Club's Tyler Durden x1000) - despite getting shot in the closing moments of season two. It's no spoiler to see he's alive, and it's no surprise to see the programmer-turned-cyber terrorist is still involved in a conspiracy that goes deeper than any other character in this show understands.
Christian Slater, Grace Gummer, Carly Chaikin and Portia Doubleday all return for more with creator Sam Esmail back holding total control over his series as director of every episode. The biggest new addition to the cast comes in the form of Bobby Cannavale as a "laconic, no-nonsense used car salesman."
Mr Robot - which won the Best Drama Golden Globe award in 2016 - was originally supposed to return at the beginning of summer, however it found itself delayed until October for reasons still unclear.
The series airs in the US on USA Network and will be available to watch on a weekly basis in the UK on Amazon Prime.
