Mr. Robot is debuting a short virtual reality film on Thursday afternoon that will disappear after its airing. The 12-minute film will debut at San Diego Comic-Con then be released on a one-time simulcast at 10:45am PT/1:45pm ET​ on the Within mobile application.

The experience will take viewers through and important moment in Elliot Aderson’s (Rami Malek) past. Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail recently promised that Shayla Nice (Frankie Shaw) will return to the show at some point in the series, possibly hinting at a cameo in the short.

Within, previously known as VSR, has produced VR documentaries for two years and the collaboration is part of a larger push for to bring original content to the medium.

Mr. Robot typically airs on Wednesdays at 10pm ET on USA Network.
