The month that Netflix series Mindhunter will return has been accidentally revealed by Charlize Theron.
The actor, who produces the crime series, let the news slip during an appearance on SiriusXM's Howard Stern Show.
When asked about the follow-up, Theron said: "Season two is coming out in August. Yeah, can't wait. Deep, dark... it's wonderful."
Mindhunter debuted on the streaming service in October 2017. Anna Torv stars in the series alongside Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany who play FBI agents inspired by real-life criminal profilers.
The show earned rave reviews upon release with viewers heaping praise upon Cameron Britton for his portrayal of the murderer and necrophiliac Edmund Kemper.
Netflix is yet to confirm the show's return date. Theron can currently be seen in Seth Rogen comedy Long Shot.
