With The Defenders, Marvel’s various Netflix series all came together, Daredevil, Jessica Jone, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist finally sharing the same screen.
Of course, many of the secondary characters from those shows also appeared, including Karen Page, Claire Temple, Trish Walker, Coleen Wing, and Jeri Hogarth.
One main player was Misty Knight, who debuted in Luke Cage last year. WARNING: Spoilers for The Defenders ahead.
Come The Defenders’ finale, Misty was helping the heroes defeat the hand, eventually losing an arm after fighting Bakuto, in turn saving Colleen and Claire.
During the very final moments, Misty is shown in hospital, Colleen revealing Danny Rand has arranged a bionic arm to be created for her.
With the second season of Luke Cage currently filming — Lucy Liu directing the premiere — Misty actress Simone Missick posted an official image from the series to Twitter. Unsurprisingly, the character now has her robotic arm.
In the comic books, Misty was seriously injured while preventing a bomb attack, leading to her losing her right arm. Tony Stark — AKA Iron Man — was the one to create a bionic arm for her.
Season two of Luke Cage still doesn’t have a release date but is expected to reach Netflix next year following the second season of Jessica Jones.
