From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Following last night's tumultuous episode of Love Island, fans are wondering what the ITV2 reality series has in store for singe contestants Wes and Georgia.

In a deviation from last year's format, both the contestants - who were spurned by their partner after deciding to remain loyal to them - will remain in the villa instead of being dumped and sent home.

Some viewers think they've discovered a twist yet to be shown in the series via a live feed shown on Good Morning Britain.

The breakfast show transmitted live from the Spanish villa with presenter Andi Peters in the garden as the contestants slept inside the bustling bedroom.

Viewers were shown a glimpse of the Islanders sleeping with some quick to point out that Wes and Georgia were in bed together. While it's possible they've been coupled up following events shown in last night's episode, it could also just be that the two of them fancied sleeping in the one free bed there was instead of the sofas.

Producers will no doubt hope for some fiery showdowns between Georgia, Josh and his new partner Kazimir as well as Wes, Megan and her new partner Alex. In a bid to survive imminent elimination, perhaps Georgia and Wes will have to attempt to win back their former partners - including Laura whom Wes had ditched for Megan days before leaving for Casa Amor.

Love Island continues tonight at 9.30pm on ITV2
