From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The first full look at tonight’s episode of Love Island teases huge fallout from the dramatic latest round of recoupling.

Last night’s instalment saw heartbreak rock the Spanish villa as the boys decided whether they wanted to stay in their original couple or pair up with one of the new girls who entered the villa days ago.

The biggest shock of the evening saw Michael ditch Amber for Joanna – with the former returning from Casa Amor having remained loyal to him.

This being Love Island, though, viewers were left to wait to see how the contestants dealt with the evening’s twists.

Going by the preview for tonight’s episode, Amber won’t take this lying down. The pair get into a serious argument, which ends with Michael getting irate and calling his former love interest ”pathetic”.

Anna also gets in on the action, ordering Michael to “answer [her] question” after fighting with the islander for turning his back on her friend (even though she herself ditched Jordan for Ovie).

Elsewhere, Curtis – who had his eye caught by Jourdan – decided to stay with a besotted Amy, but later wiped the smile from her face after telling her he had to have an important talk with her. He has a lot to contend with after coming clean about his true feelings, leaving her in tears.

You can watch the full preview below.

Love Island continues on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
