From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Last night's climax of another series of Love Island saw Jack and Dani walk away with the £50,000 cash prize.

The couple joins the ranks of three others who were awarded villa favourites across the past three series aired on ITV2. But, are they still together?

Catch up on what happened in this year's final here

2015

Mac Morley and Jessica Hayes

The ITV2 show's original winners split just six weeks after their series ended. Jessica continues to model while Max went on to appear on another reality series, Ex On The Beach.

2016

Cara Der La Hoyde and Nathan Massey

(ITV2
(ITV2 (ITV2)

It's been a tumultuous journey for Cara and Nathan since their Love Island journey ended in 2016. After initially splitting less than a year after winning the cash prize, they rekindled things after welcoming a son and are engaged to be married.

2017

Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies

(ITV2)

Love Island favourite Kem went on to appear as a contestant on this year's series of Love Island and later landed an ITV2 spinoff with his best pal Chris Hughes titled You vs Chris and Kem. In the wake of their win, Amber scored a series of fashion deals while launching her own brand named Strong Not Skinny. Sadly, the winning couples relationship wasn't as successful as their respective careers splitting just four months after last year's series ended.
