Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

In a sneak peek at tonight’s (Tuesday’s) episode of Love Island, Amber Gill can be seen calling out the other girls in the villa for not being supportive enough after her row with Michael Griffiths.

Amber and Michael are on terrible terms after he savagely rejected her during Monday night’s episode, and now Amber is feeling let down by her friends in the villa, too.

In a clip of tonight’s episode, she fumes: “Everyone riled us up and then no one actually said anything to him and everybody was fine with him sitting around the kitchen laughing.”

To which Maura Higgins retorts: “Well, I was with Curtis, so don’t blame me.”

Amber goes on to say that she wished one of her friends had confronted Michael about how cruel he’d been, adding: “I’ve had everybody’s back in here and I’d expect the same from everybody else.”

Things might be about to look up for Amber, though, as three new bombshells are entering the villa tonight – and one of them is waiting in the hideaway.

Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2
