From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Lost fans are rejoicing as the entire series has become available to stream on Amazon Prime.
The US series joins The X-Files, Battlestar Galactica and the American version of The Office as the latest cult hit to be added to the subscription service.
The Emmy award-winning series, co-created by JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof and Jeffrey Lieber, originally aired in 2004 and drew to a close in 2010 after six seasons. It follows the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 who crash lands onto an island after flying 1,000 miles off course. Upon its original broadcast, the series garnered one of the biggest cult fanbases of all time.
Lost is regarded as one of the most influential TV shows of all time. Just recently, The New York Times named it one of the best series to have been released since The Sopranos.
The series has its critics: in 2010, Lost ended with what could well be the most widely misunderstood series finale in TV history. Its divisive nature has meant that Lost has remained relevant almost nine years after it ended with the existence of many podcasts dedicated to the show still springing up.
Its ensemble cast includes Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Dominic Monaghan, Harold Perrineau, Michael Emerson, Yunjin Kim and Terry O’Quinn.
Amazon Prime adds the series a week after speculation of a reboot was fuelled by ABC.
You can stream Lost seasons one to six on Amazon Prime now. Follow along with podcast ‘The LOST Boys’ that follows two of our writers’s respective journey watching from the very beginning – one for the first time, the other for the eighth.
