From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Kim Woodburn has stormed off Loose Women after a huge showdown with Coleen Nolan.

ITV reunited the pair – who famously fell out on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2017 – in hopes they would reconcile on air. However, the atmosphere soon turned frosty when the How Clean Is Your House? star launched a tirade against the Loose Women panellist

“I’ll never forget what the likes of her and others put me through,” Woodburn said, alleging that she was bullied by seven people in the Elstree and Borehamwood compound. “Never. It was bloody cruel.”

Nolan’s fellow panellist Janet Street-Porter attempted to interject, telling Woodburn that Nolan wanted to reconcile with her, but she refused to listen.

Woodburn continued: “You think what you like. She’s a horrible person. She’s trash.”

Nolan, who won that year’s series, said afterwards: “We have got members of our team with Kim backstage. We didn’t intend for it to actually end like that, we were hoping – actually, genuinely hoping – for some kind of reconciliation, but that wasn’t going to happen.”

ITV said: “We invited Kim on the show to reconcile with Coleen and put their differences behind them. But it didn’t go to plan.

“After 18 months, we were hoping the two women would let bygones be bygones. But it wasn’t to be.”

The latest series of Celebrity Big Brother - with Kirstie Alley and former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas – is currently airing on Channel 5.
