Piers Morgan has lashed out at the Kardashians following the announcement that their reality show will end next year.

Kim Kardashian broke the news yesterday (8 September), who wrote on Twitter: “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years - through the good times, the bad times, the tears and the many relationships and children.”

Morgan was very to keen to emphasise that he is not a fan of the programme. "A bunch of very, very average looking dumbo bimbos have taken us all to the cleaners and made billions out of prancing around and doing this,” he said on Wednesday morning’s edition of Good Morning Britain (9 September).

"They have taken us to the cleaners. Not a brain cell between them."

One Twitter user responded: “Do you not realise that those ‘dumbo bimbos’ have more money and influence than you can dream of having?”

Morgan also claimed the show is ending due to poor viewing figures. KUWTK’s ratings peaked with the season four finale in February 2010, which had 4.8 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. The most recent episode had just 810,000 total viewers.

The long-running reality series first aired in 2007 and followed the wealthy Kardashian-Jenner family, with the show predominantly focusing on sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, as well as Kris, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
