Jerry Seinfeld shared a tribute to Larry King, recalling an awkward interview moment, after King's death last week.

"Always loved Larry King and will miss him. The ‘canceled’ bit was just me having fun with his little mistake. Nothing more. Or less. #ripLarry," the comedian wrote.

The moment Seinfeld referred to was a 2007 interview where King was speaking to the actor about Bee Movie. King asked Seinfeld if he'd decided to end Seinfeld or if NBC had pulled the plug (the beloved sitcom starring Seinfeld ended in 1998).

“You gave it up, right?” King asked. "You canceled them, they didn’t cancel you."

“You’re not aware of this?” Seinfeld answered, feigning annoyance. "You think I got canceled? Are you under the impression I got canceled? I thought it was pretty well-documented. Is this still CNN?

“I went off the air, I was the number-one show on television, Larry. Do you know who I am?”

“Jewish guy. Brooklyn,” King joked in response.

The veteran TV host died on Saturday (23 January) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 87.

“With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning aged 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” a statement read.

“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster."
