Jennifer Aniston has shared a selfie with all of her former Friends cast mates in her very first Instagram post.
The actor posted the photo on Tuesday, giving fans a long-awaited snapshot of all six stars together.
Aniston posed alongside Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc for the shot.
“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM,” she wrote in the caption.
This is Aniston’s first Instagram post, and as such it doubles as an announcement that she has just joined the platform.
She had stayed away from the social media app for years but had recently given signs that her position might change, telling ET: “You never know.”
Fans have long awaited a cast reunion, with renewed hope as September 2019 marked the 25th anniversary of the sitcom’s premiere – but it had all been in vain until now.
A two-hour reunion TV special in 2016 featured just five of the six cast members as Perry was a no-show.
There have been partial Friends reunion photos over the past years, but this is the first time in recent memory that all six stars have posed together in the same image.
As for a potential reunion episode, the cast and crew have so far suggested that it wouldn’t happen and that the sitcom is best left as is.

Schwimmer said in August this year that he and the rest of the cast believe the series ended “in the perfect way” and should thus remain untouched.
Nevertheless, fans met Aniston’s photo with excitement on Monday, with one of them tweeting: ”AAAAAAH PLS PLS PLS PLSSSSSSSSSS. DONT GIVE ME HOPE, JUST DO IT!! FRIENDS REUNION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Someone else wrote: ”Jennifer Aniston got Instagram and posted a Friends reunion pic maybe I’m crying.”
“I’VE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS A MINI FRIENDS REUNION IM FINE RIGHT NOW,” another fan tweeted.
A pop-up opened in New York City in September to mark the show’s 25th anniversary.
Maggie Wheeler and James Michael Tyler, who played Janice and Gunther respectively, were present to help launch the interactive exhibit.
