Jamie Oliver's spokesperson has confirmed the celebrity chef is definitely not retiring, following reports the 24-year-old was contemplating leaving behind public life.

The Sun initially ran a story featuring Oliver reportedly saying: quotes : “I have not told anyone this in the public domain. I am 42 now, I have got five kids and I am sort of actually looking at my days.

“I try to be a good dad. I could retire. So I am kind of going, "Well, why do I not take my boy to school every day?’"

However, the spokesperson has put the quotes' legitimacy into question, saying they may have come from a podcast but are unsure of the context.

"I can absolutely 100% confirm that there is zero truth in the story that Jamie retiring," they told The Independent.

"He's riding high on Quick & Easy Food being his fastest selling book, new book and TV out next year, planning for the Naked Chef 20th anniversary in 2019 and much more beyond that."

Oliver has five children with wife Juliette Norton, named Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow, Buddy Bear Maurice, and River Rocket.

The Naked Chef star — reported to be worth upwards of £150 million — has 48 restaurants across the UK and has published 19 books to date.
