Following a warm and beautiful trailer last year, a new clip from the film Isle of Dogs has been released today, seeing two packs of dogs square off over a bag of rubbish.

Bryan Cranston is Chief, the leader of our pooch protagonists, joined by Edward Norton as Rex, Bill Murray as Boss and Jeff Goldblum as Duke.

There are definite notes of Walter White in the Breaking Bad actor's performance in the scene, Chief telling a rival dog gruffly, after biting off his ear: “Get out of here and don't come back.”

Isle of Dogs - in cinemas 30 March - has assembled a stunning voice cast which also includes Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Harvey Keitel, Scarlett Johansson, Yoko Ono and Tilda Swinton.

The synopsis is as follows:

ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of Atari Kobayashi, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly found mongrel friends, he begins and epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.
