Inside No 9  fans will be excited to know that a new series has been completed.

Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton have been hard at work putting together a collection of new episodes for their popular anthology show, and the BBC has just announced that filming has officially wrapped.

Alongside the news comes the name of the actors who will be guest starring in the next series.

Line of Duty actor Adrian Dunbar and Fleabag’s Sian Clifford will be appearing. Sarah Parish, most recently seen in Industry, and Patterson Joseph (Peep Show), will also feature.

Comedian Kevin Bishop, Lindsay Duncan and Nick Mohammed are starring in the series too.

Gemma Whelan, known for Game of Thrones and Killing Eve, rounds out the cast.

Speaking about the new episodes, Shearmsith and Pemberton said: “We started filming in March last year but had to hit pause due to the pandemic. As proud parents we couldn’t possibly choose a favourite series, but like any youngest sibling this one is cheeky, funny – and can get away with murder."

The Independent spoke to the pair ahead of the fifth series in February 2020, and went deep on the history of Inside No 9 to date.

It is currently unknown when series six will begin.
