Former I’m a Celebrity contestant and rugby star James Haskell has revealed how much food the campmates actually get on the show.

The ITV competition sees celebrities given just a small portion of rice and beans for dinner every night – and now Haskell has confirmed there are no extra snacks handed out behind the scenes.

In an interview with The Social, former England rugby player Haskell – who appeared on I’m a Celebrity last year – said: “I’m 100% being brutally honest with you, there is no extra food.”

He added that he once tried to bribe one of the camera crew, by saying: “I’ll give you 500 quid when we get out of here to get me a Mars bar.”

The crew member revealed he had “had bigger offers than that, I’ve had propositions!”

The new series of I’m a Celebrity begins on ITV at 9pm on Sunday 15 November.

Due to the pandemic, it has been relocated to the Welsh countryside this year.

Mo Farah and Victoria Derbyshire are among the celebrities on the line-up.
