Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Last night, I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! 2015 launched, seeing the latest batch of ‘celebrities’ enter the Australian jungle.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, ITV has confirmed that three new reality TV stars will be joining the group on tonight’s show.
First up, it’s The Only Way Is Essex’s Ferne McCann, whose ‘best mate’ and fellow TOWIE cast member, Lydia Bright, told the Mirror: "Ferne is going to be insane in the jungle. We went to Machu Picchu together recently and literally nothing phased her.
"She would camp out in the rain and in the snow, our clothes would be drenched and we'd have to walk up hill for hours on end and she was fine with everything! She didn't struggle at all.”
Next up, it’s Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison. Vicky and Ferne have had a fraught relationship in the past, with the latter hitting out at the Geordie star in her Star magazine column.
Fearne wrote: “Vicky Pattison's new autobiography is called Nothing But The Truth. I'm surprised – considering she hasn't told the whole truth.
“She happily missed out the fact she slept with Charlie (Sims, Fearne’s once partner) when we were apart, claiming they only kissed.”
Whether the pair will clash, who can tell. Luckily, to keep the peace, they’re also bringing in rival TV personality Spencer Matthews from Made in Chelsea. Few.
Take a look through the other 10 contestants above and tune in this evening on ITV.
