From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Speculation is mounting over which celebrities are heading to the Australian jungle for the 14th series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and now, the launch night has finally been revealed as Sunday 16 November.

ITV confirmed the broadcast date on Twitter with a photo of returning hosts Ant and Dec.

Potential contestants rumoured for down under include Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna, The Only Way Is Essex's Gemma Collins, Georgie Shore's Vicky Pattinson, Desperate Housewives' Teri Hatcher and Katie Price's ex-husband number two, cage fighter Alex Reid.

Other names in the yet-to-be-confirmed mix include TV presenter Melanie Sykes, Olympians boxer Nicola Adams and diver Tom Daley, Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan, magician Dynamo and former Manchester United captain Roy Keane.

"I've had the Celebrity Big Brother offers and the jungle stuff [I'm A Celebrity]. I met the jungle people but I thought 'Nah, not for me'," Keane told Shortlist magazine.

"The more you say 'no', the more determined they are to get you, so who knows? There’s more to life than football."

Adams also dropped some hints recently, saying she was "more of a jungle type person than a Big Brother type of person".

Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos is a popular choice after her drugs trial victory and has reportedly been offered up to £500,000 to take part. Spokespeople for the show are not commenting on speculation.

The next batch of often fame hungry contestants will say goodbye to their loved ones to sleep in the world with limited food supplies in a camp where finding creepy crawlies in your sleeping bag is commonplace.
