The brief clip shows Paul Hollywood doing his best Scrooge impression, along with a hint of controversy with GBBO stars James Morton and Chetna Makan, who serve up what appear to be identical festive loaves.
"James, you're cheating!" Chetna is heard saying. Hopefully she was joking, but who knows?
Moments earlier James, a junior doctor, had revealed that he may have taken inspiration from his rival's design after being unhappy with his own.
"Oh that's so annoying," he says of his pastry. "I reckon Chetna has got this right, I can fix this... I'm just trying to think about how I can make it look more like Chetna's."
Fortunately Mel Giedroyc is on hand to try and calm things down.
"He's changed it after seeing my design," Chetna tells her. "Bake Off first?!"
"We have a cheating incident!" Mel exclaims.
Kitchen sink drama or what?
The Great British Bake Off Christmas special airs on Christmas Day on BBC One at 4.45pm.
