With the eighth season of Game of Thrones slowly approaching, HBO has made the previous seven seasons available for free over the Thanksgiving weekend.

The offer – which is only available in the US – hopes to incentivise newcomers to finally catch-up on arguably the biggest show currently on television.

The “Free Preview Event” has already begun, and will conclude on the 25 November. That gives fans at least 72 hours to catch up on the 67 hour-long episodes of Game of Thrones currently available.

Although season eight will be the series’ last batch of episodes, there’s currently a spin-off show in the works, with Naomi Watts as the female lead and Josh Whitehouse taking on the male lead. Author George RR Martin recently said that the series will not revolve around the events of the recently released book Fire and Blood.

Game of Thrones first aired in 2011 and will conclude with its eighth season in April 2019.Read everything we know about the upcoming season here.
