Watchers on the Wall has reported on the casting announcement for a new character named Sarra who will be played by Danielle Galligan.
Fans of George R. R. Martin's source material have pointed out that Sarra is the granddaughter of fallen villain Walder Frey (David Bradley).
The reintroduction of the major house will no doubt coincide with scenes featuring Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) who dispatched of Sarra's grandfather, as well as the majority of her clan, in the cold open to season 7 thus liberating his many daughters and granddaughters.
Frey had earlier been one of the major players behind the infamous Red Wedding which saw the slaughter of Stark's mother and brother.
However, when considering there are only six episodes left of Game of Thrones, it's unclear in what capacity Sarra will be introduced into the show - especially when the battle between ice and fire is in full swing.
Emilia Clarke - who plays Daenerys Targaryen - recently opened up about her frustrations with having to incessantly discuss the nudity featured in the series.
Game of Thrones will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
