A Game of Thrones documentary will air after the series finale of the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will be feature length, clocking in at two hours, and will air on 26 May, a week after the final episode.

Directed by Jeanie Finlay, it will deal with the making of the final season, drawing on Finlay’s experiences while being on the set for a year.

According to HBO, the documentary ”delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland.”

It will also offer “unprecedented access” to the cast and crew on the series.

Game of Thrones‘s eight and final season begins on HBO on 14 April. Seasons 1 – 7 are available to watch on NowTV.
